Gillette Stadium

In 2002 the new Gillette Stadium opened as the home to the New England Patriots and Soep was invited to work on this highly-visible and challenging project. The commercial and industrial service teams utilized an average crew size of 60 craftsmen to complete a work scope that included industrial steel preparation and painting, specialty concrete floor polishing, and a very sizable finish painting operation. Our efforts earned the appreciation and thanks of the Patriots ownership and all project team members.

Fenway Park

Soep’s Commercial and Industrial service teams were fortunate to work in unison with Fenway Park ownership and general contractor William A. Berry & Sons, Inc. on past improvements to America’s most recognized ballpark. Our skilled teams to assisted with renovations to public areas and corporate spaces improved the experience for the players, support teams, and fans alike. During the 2006/2007 off-season, the left field section was modified to incorporate a new seating and concourse area. Then in the 2007/2008 off-season, major improvements were made to the suites in the right and left fields as well as new concession concourses.

Additionally, Soep’s Specialty Insulation Group was entrusted to perform all of the requirements for specialty coating applications including surface cleaning and preparation for lead abatement. The results earned Soep complimentary remarks from Fenway stakeholders including “We are proud that you are a part of the extended Red Sox family,” and “We are grateful of your skillful effort to help improve America’s most beloved ballpark.”

Deer Island Waste Water Treatment Facility

Soep Painting Corp was the specialty contractor of choice for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority's (MWRA) $3.4 billion Boston Harbor project and is one the finest examples of our unique ability to work in demanding industrial environments. Over the life of this project the Soep team completed over $30 million in contracts including the painting and lining of Boston's largest vessels. The contract also included application of paint and other specialty coatings throughout the facility. Based on our previous success, the Soep companies was again chosen in 2008 to perform a multi-million dollar concrete and steel restoration project for the MWRA at Deer Island.

Brockton Waste Water Treatment Plant

Soep was chosen to perform this large scale rehabilitation at Brockton's Waste Water Treatment Plant. Our industrial painting & coating service group performed a work scope including specialized surface cleaning and preparation methods, trowel applied epoxy concrete linings and other unique coating systems to the primary and secondary clarifiers, gravity thickener and dewatering and filter buildings.

Exelon Power - Mystic Generating Station

The Soep Companies' Industrial Painting & Coating Service Group was again contracted by Exelon Power to apply coatings for the new addition to the Mystic Generating Station in Everett Massachusetts. The project required work in many critical areas of the plant and meeting an aggressive schedule was a priority to the ownership and Soep's team. Specialty products from many different manufactures were applied including Dudick floor coating, Carboline's epoxies and urethanes and various Sherwin Williams industrial coatings using highly skilled craftsmen and state-of-the-art application methods to ensure quality and efficiency.

Dominion Energy

The soep companies has long been known for its abilities in the power industry including at dominion energy. The industrial painting and coating service group perform multiple projects yearly for brayton point station. Soep serves dominion energy with all aspects of painting including interior and exterior structural steel, tank painting and lining, and flooring and containment coatings while minimizing disruption to daily plant operations.

MBTA Boston Engine Terminal

 The mbta boston engine terminal is the largest of its kind in the country servicing the northeast corridor. The soep companies was contracted to provide painting of the complete operation. Soep's industrial painting & coating service group applied specialized non-skid epoxy floor systems in the massive bays. This project required multiple crews of considerable size working around the clock with fast curing epoxy products.

Boston Gas/Keyspan Storage Tank

In the industrial zone along boston's waterfront, one massive liquefied natural gas tank stands out like no other. The rainbow tank, as it's called, is wrapped with five huge swaths of color: orange, vermilion, yellow, blue and purple. In 1971, graphic artist corita kent painted the tank with this unique one of a kind design. Years later the soep companies was called upon to repaint the tank refreshing and preserving the original design.

IBM Toshiba

Electronics giants ibm and toshiba through a joint venture built this enormous $1.2 billion facility in manassas virginia to manufacture semiconductor products. The schedule required multiple shifts working around the clock. The scope included finish painting of most surfaces from floors to ceiling. Critical areas such as 1a clean rooms required very special planning and care in executing application of the electrostatic dissipative floor coatings.

Landmark Center

This award winning project transformed the 1929 Sears, Roebuck and Company warehouse into a state-of-the-art 1.5 million square foot commercial complex. The building's historic distinction and massive size posed many unique renovation challenges including high standards set by the secretary of interior. Both the Soep commercial painting & wall-covering service group and industrial painting and coating service group provided many restoration and specialty services including cleaning and water blasting of existing ceilings, all finish painting and application of metallic finishes to the atrium. The building has since been placed on National Register of Historic Places and is a daily hub of activity in Boston's Fenway neighborhood.

Harvard University

Harvard university's northwest science laboratory building project included many building innovation and required the combined efforts of the soep companies' commercial painting & wall-covering and industrial painting and coating service groups to meet harvard's impressive plans. The overall building project consisted of 470,000 square feet of laboratory space on 8 levels, new classrooms and science laboratories, and a chilled water plant designed to cool 5 million square feet of space within 75 harvard owned buildings.
The soep companies' broad and complex scope of work included all finish painting, application of a variety of specialty coatings in the laboratories including anti-slip chemical resistant floor coatings, seamless waterproof rubber flooring systems, concrete polishes to mechanical room floors and intumescent fireproof coatings to architectural exposed structural steel located in the (3) atriums at heights above 60 feet.The soep companies and harvard university continue to enjoy a strong relationship.
