National Apprenticeship Week runs this year from November 13-19, 2017, and is a nationwide opportunity for companies, trade and industry groups, nonprofit organizations, unions, labor-management organizations, and educational institutions to highlight how apprenticeships prepare American workers for the jobs of today and the future.

In recognition of the third annual NAW, we were thrilled to be visited by Rosalin Acosta, Massachusetts Labor Secretary, to learn about our business and apprenticeship programs. With our decades of experience training and educating new generations of painters, our teams had a great discussion about continuing the advancement and development of apprenticeships in the trades.

As our meeting came to a close, Secretary Acosta presented our President, Matt Soep, with an official proclamation recognizing Soep’s long standing partnership with the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades and our commitment to training, educating and providing apprenticeships to new painters. It was honor to have Secretary Acosta join us in the office and we’re looking forward to continued partnership with the Labor Department.
